Workshop Assistant / Industrial Worker – Mechanical Work and Welding

About the Position

With our client in Luleå, you will work with qualified mechanical workshop tasks related to service, repair, and renovation of generators, electric motors, and other electrical equipment for the industry. The work is fundamentally mechanical and includes welding as a natural part of the daily routine.

As a workshop assistant, you will have a varied and technically developing role where your tasks include:

Troubleshooting, service, and renovation of technical and industrial equipment
Extensive mechanical work such as disassembly, assembly, and adjustment of various components
Welding, as well as repair and reinforcement of machine parts and structures
Replacement of wear parts and preventive mechanical maintenance
Manufacturing and adaptation of parts based on the business needs
Working in a workshop environment in close collaboration with colleagues

The work is carried out in a clean and structured workshop environment, weekdays from 07:00 to 16:00.

The position is full-time and will initially be a consulting assignment via Adecco for the first six months, with the ambition to transition to a direct employment with the company thereafter. Start date is as soon as possible.

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys physical and practical work and has a genuine technical interest. You are curious, eager to develop, and contribute with a positive attitude within the team.

We expect you to:

Have experience as a mechanic, workshop worker, or from the industrial sector
Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Be meticulous and quality-conscious in your work

It is an advantage if you have:

Practical education in vehicles, electricity, technology, or industry
Hot Work certificate
Forklift and crane operator licenses

As a person, you are flexible and can adapt when the pace or tasks vary between different projects. You remain calm even when there is a lot to do and find it easy to collaborate.
